Extension Updates

Hi,

I’ve just purchased and installed the Joomla Little People Theme and after checking for updates I got the following errors after it saying 9 were needed:

Update: Could not open update site #9 “JM News Pro”, URL: http://extensions.joomlaman.com/jmnewspro/update.xml
Update: Could not open update site #17 “JM Google Maps”, URL: http://extensions.joomlaman.com/jmgooglemap/update.xml

I tried going directly to the authors site but got the following on the page:

Site is under maintenance util 12/12/2016. For emergency support please email info@joomlaman.com
Thanks for your patient.

I sure hope they have the wrong date there, or maybe they no longer support that Extension??

Also, it seems that when ever I try to go to any menu in the Administrator Control panel, i.e. Articles or Menu, I’m greeted with the following error message and that’s all I get:

0 syntax error, unexpected ‘}’, expecting end of file

Hoping these will be easy fixes.

Ok, I seem to have fixed the issue of the error message “0 syntax error, unexpected ‘}’, expecting end of file” appearing when clicking on any Menu in the Admin Panel, rather than updating straight to 3.7 I’ve kept it on 3.6 and updated most Extensions first and it seems to be working ok, so I will try updating to 3.7 again and see what happens now that most of the Extensions are updated, hopefully that was the issue.

However, the two Extensions JM News Pro and JM Google Maps are requiring an update yet the update fails and the links to update them look to be broken, and it doesn’t look like the Author is supporting them any more, the last update was quite a while ago?

So if the author is no longer supporting these two Extensions then maybe they should be disabled as that could pose a security issue if they are not being actively maintained?

Ok, well after updating all the Extensions that could be, I proceeded to update to the latest Joomla ver. 3.7, and I’m happy to report that 3.7 now works ok with no problems when clicking on any menu.

So the only issue now left is the two updates that are failing, but by your response above I take it you have recently moved servers and will fix the link to those two updates shortly, after which we will be able to update them to the latest version without the errors?

One last question, in the Template your using a slider called ‘Slider Revolution’ , could you please provide a link to it’s website? I’m trying to find the Authors website to obtain the latest update but the only one I can find with the same name is for WordPress??

However that link is no good as it is for the WordPress version, as previously mentioned I’m using the Joomla Little People Kindergarten Theme, not the WordPress version.
