I recently held the position of administrator of the strasbourg-taxi.fr site.
This site uses the citycab wordpress theme.
As part of my site checks, I noticed that a too old version of this theme is installed (2.0.3).
Not finding any trace of the purchase invoice, I bought a new license this Sunday, January 17, 2021.
Now, I want to update it on the site to an earlier version (3.4), but I would like to avoid the FTP method which is tedious and risky.
I wanted to use the update option through the Envato Market. That said, this plugin (installed on my site) only offers me the option of installing and not updating. When trying to reinstall the city cab theme, WordPress update toolkit tels me : ‘theme folder already present’ and the install fails.
I’m really worried that I’ll lose all the settings that were put on the site and worn by the theme, and I will want to use a risk-free method.
Would you please tell me how to respond to this constraint?
Thanking you in advance,
PS : I write you an email to your support address but till not receive a response.
